About Katie

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist passionate about healing through relationships—both with yourself and with the most precious people in your life.

Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a hospice nurse for nearly a decade. In the patient's final days, I witnessed many people mend deeply fractured relationships. While profoundly meaningful, it was also tragic that they waited until time was running out to repair what mattered most. We do not live on an island; our relationships shape who we are and dictate how we experience the world. Yet, they can be the hardest things to navigate.

How We Will Work Together:

In our sessions, you will find me to be warm, compassionate, and down-to-earth. I practice a client-centered, humanistic approach, meaning I bring my authentic self into the room to meet you exactly where you are.

Your Emotions

as a Compass

An Attachment

-Based Lens

Zero Blame

or Shame

We will use your unique emotional system to guide you toward what feels most authentic, whether you are navigating a relationship with yourself, a partner, family, or friends.

We will explore how past experiences and emotional patterns shape how you connect and respond today.

Therapy with me is a curious, compassionate process of understanding your story more deeply so that lasting, meaningful change can finally happen.

Meet

Your

Therapist

My path to becoming a therapist did not come from a textbook. It comes from 30 years of clinical practice, deep personal healing, and navigating the messy, beautiful complexities of real life.

I blend science, spirit, and lived experience to help you heal. My practice is built on a foundation of 60% professional training and 40% personal wisdom.

My Journey to

Holistic Healing

I began my career in Western medicine. Witnessing the gaps in our healthcare system drove me to seek a more complete way of healing.

Mind-Body Integration

Natural Wellness

Spiritual & Existensial Grounding

I have practiced yoga for over 30 years. I use somatic movement as a core tool to release trauma and restore mental health.

Years of working in naturopathic clinics taught me how to use plants and food as medicine to support mental well-being.

My time working in hospice care forced me to look closely at the meaning of life. This deep, spiritual exploration grounds my practice. I incorporate existential therapy to help you navigate your own questions about purpose and existence.

Walking the Path with You

I have lived with low-level depression throughout my adult life. I know what it feels like when hope and energy suddenly vanish. This struggle is also my greatest gift to you. I do not just look at your pain from across the room. I know how to sit in the dark with you, how to endure it, and how to guide you back into the light.

Real-World Relationship Expertise

I understand the challenges of modern relationships because I have lived them. I offer a deeply compassionate, judgment-free space for all relationship structures.

Family Dynamics

Growth-Oriented

Connection

Perimenopause

As a co-parent of two children, I intimately understand the trials of divorce, blended families, and step-parenting.

My own 10-year partnership serves as a daily masterclass in conflict resolution and deep connection.

Navigating the profound physiological and emotional shift of perimenopause myself transformed how I view women's health. I provide a dedicated, non-gaslighting space to help you reclaim your body, mind, and identity through this hormonal transition.

My Approach

Therapy Rooted in Connections & Understanding

My work is grounded in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), an evidence-based approach that helps couples and individuals strengthen emotional bonds, improve communication, and create more secure relationships.

Together, therapy becomes a space where you can slow down, feel understood, and reconnect with yourself in more authentic ways.
